Fredrik Eklund lists his own Chelsea pad for $3.25 million
Douglas Elliman broker and star of “Million Dollar Listing New York” Fredrik Eklund is listing his 144 West 27th Street pad for $3.25 million, the New York Post reported.
Eklund bought the 2,400-square-foot fixer-upper condominium in November for $1.65 million as a surprise for his then-fiancé and now-husband Derek Kaplan. The couple moved into the apartment – which boasts oversized windows, a chef’s kitchen and Eric Cohler-designed interiors — with their dogs after renovations.

Million Dollar Listing New York S2E1: A New Dawn
Don't call it a comeback, but Million Dollar Listing New York is back for Season 2, and it's bigger and badder then ever. This season promises even more workout scenes, more expensive apartments, less duck walking, and more drama. What are we waiting for? Let's GO!
Crisis 1: A Marble Challenge
It's FREDRIK! Our favorite broker has returned and is doing more deals and being more outrageous while also being engaged to the love of his life. What could go wrong? Freddie starts out at a listing appointment at the American Express Carriage House, with a client who is not only the owner but also the designer and contractor of the one, the only, the Marrrrrble House! 9,000 square feet, 6 beds and 5.5 baths, a pool and all of that luscious marble. Even Fredrik is overwhelmed, and that ain't easy.
Million Dollar Listing's Fredrik Eklund Lists Own Pad For $3.25M
One by one, these Million Dollar Listing New York brokers are saturating the market. First Douglas Elliman CEO spawn and former co-star Michael Lorber listed his Turtle Bay apartment for $2.8 million. And now, the Post reports, hot on the heels of last night's Season 2 premiere, another reality TV denizen from Elliman, Fredrik Eklund, has put his own $3.25 million condo up for sale. (All the crazy details and manufactured drama of the new episode can be found in our always-entertaining recap.)
Eklund is, naturally, spearheading the sale of his apartment—via Elliman, duh—a corner unit at 144 West 27th Street. The 2BR/2.5BA has a nicely spacious open-plan living area and is tastefully decorated (it was apparently bought a wreck) by interior designer to the staaaars Eric Cohler. We are, however, extremely confused about whether the dog atop the shaggy white rug in the dining nook (pictured above) is a piece of modern art or an actual canine belonging to Eklund and his husband Derek Kaplan, who do in fact own dogs (plural).
The largely wall-less layout makes the 2,400 square feet feel even larger, and the big windows and 14-foot wood-beamed ceilings don't hurt, either. There are three walk-in closets—count 'em, that's more than the number of bedrooms. Building amenities include a planted roof deck with Empire State Building views.
A three-bedroom apartment in the same building sold for $3 million back in April, 9 percent above its ask, and another 3BR two floors down is listed at the same price as Eklund's 2BR. We've all witnessed this broker's mad skillz on TV, so now we'll see how he closes his own deal. Maybe it'll even feature in MDLNY: Season 3?
